A woman called police and reported that her 2017 GMC Terrain had been taken from the 700 block of JFK Boulevard sometime between 3 and 7:30 a.m.

A little more than an hour later, the woman received an alert from the vehicle's OnStar system indicating that it was parked nearby, in the 1200 block of JFK Boulevard. Officers canvassing the area found it parked in the rear of 1225 JFK Boulevard and spotted two men emerging from the vehicle, who ran when they saw the officers, police said.

Juan Hernandez, 19, and Jeremiah Ross, 18, were caught after a brief foot chase. The vehicle's key was found in Hernandez's pocket, police said.

David Abdelhour, 19, also of Bayonne, was arrested after he was spotted in the area and K9 units from the Hudson County Sheriff's Office picked up his scent from inside the stolen vehicle, police also said.

All three have been charged with burglary and theft. Ross and Hernandez was also charged with resisting arrest by flight.
